TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENTS AND SAFETY MEASURES IN THE WORKPLACE

1. Can I make the decision to allow an employee to work dependent on measuring their body temperature?

This issue has not been clearly regulated in the Special-Purpose Act, but the prevailing view is that it is not acceptable. At the same time, it is possible to take such measurements if the employee agrees.
If the employee does not agree, but the employer has reasonable doubts in this respect, the employer can give an oral order to the employee to work remotely, so that unnecessary health risks to other employees are excluded.

2. There is a requirement to ensure a minimum distance of 1.5 meters between workstations. In my company, the standard distance is 1.1 meters. It may be necessary to refit the office space at an expensive cost. Am I eligible for funding in connection with these activities?

No additional funding is provided in connection with possible necessary fit-out works.
